The newest Final Fantasy XV trailer has dropped and it features a variety of beautiful environments from the upcoming RPG. The title of the new video is “Final Fantasy XV – World of Wonder Environment Footage” and the description for the trailer reads:
Check out some of the beautiful towns, gigantic cities and scenic backdrops which make up the world of Final Fantasy XV in this World of Wonder video.
This trailer was first shown off at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV and is the third part in the World of Wonder series. Take a look at what’s to come from the beautiful, open world of “Eos” in Final Fantasy XV.
The trailer shows off a lot of eclectic environments that take inspiration from a lot of different places. There’s everything from old school European architecture to the fantastical crystal based environments that are more like traditional Final Fantasy games.
The setting of the game, Eos, is meant to be close to modern day Earth, which may be one of the reasons the environments seem much more grounded in reality than previous titles. Even though these areas may seem more familiar to us than in previous games, they are still seem to fit well into the fantasy setting of the game.
The trailer boasts some very stellar graphics and lighting; hopefully the final product’s graphics will match this trailer. In the past other games have been guilty of having trailers with far greater graphics than the actual release, but who knows what will end up happening with Final Fantasy XV.
Final Fantasy XV has been in development for 10 years but is finally releasing globally September 30th 2016. The game was originally announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII but was pushed back, eventually becoming a main entry in the series. The games official release date was announced at the recent Final Fantasy Uncovered event in California.
IGN is also doing a First coverage of Final Fantasy XV this week, and to kick it off they released an article featuring 26 pieces of gorgeous concept art. The art ranges from pencil sketches to clay models to handcrafted pieces of creature anatomy. You can check out that article here.
